Exploring the web on the subject of peace and religion i came up short and found a thing lacking (this website). Hence its birth.
No State, particular faith, NGO or financial interests involved.
Anyone can try to be free of prejudices. To start recognizing peace again. Of cause one is more determined by ones background than you think.
In a nutshell, i believe in God but not in a traditional way. As God can only judge ones faith, why not look at a Religion as just a cultural phenomenon? Having said that, Religions have the possibility to work together against war towards peace. Giving the individual the safe environment to develop.
Unbelievers may state that Religions start wars. But most of the time the basic reason is territory and dynasty. Things get intertwined and manipulated to an extend that culture, politics, the militairy, religious differences, race and altered historical context, are one bloodthirsty mixture of combustion.
In the very near future, not to say now, you cannot be sure if a voice-call, an image, a video or an app-message is really from the one it is supposed to come from. So faith on the one hand and fact-checking on the other is all what’s left.

Zoekend op het web naar het onderwerp Vrede en Religie realiseerde ik me het ontbreken van een website als deze. Daarom haar geboorte.
Geen Staat, bijzonder geloof, NGO of financiële belangen betrokken.
Iedereen kan vrij zijn van vooroordelen. Om Vrede weer te herkennen. Natuurlijk is een ieder meer gedetermineerd door iemands achtergrond dan je denkt.
In een notedop, ik geloof in God maar niet op een traditionele manier. Als God de enige is die iemands geloof kan beoordelen, waarom dan niet Religie zien als slechts een cultureel fenomeen? Dat gezegd hebbende blijft het feit dat Religies de mogelijkheid hebben om samen te werken tegen oorlog richting Vrede. Het individu de veilige omgeving biedend om zich te ontwikkelen.
Ongelovigen mogen stellen dat Religies oorlogen starten. Maar meestal is de basis reden territorium en dynasty. Zaken raken verweven en gemanipuleerd in zo’n mate dat cultuur, politiek, het leger, religieuze verschillen, ras en veranderde historische context zich vormen tot een bloeddorstig ontvlambaar mengsel.
In de erg nabije toekomst, zeg maar nu, kun je niet meer zeker zijn dat je spraakoproep, beeld, video of app-boodschap echt afkomstig is van degene die het lijkt te verzenden. Dus geloof aan de ene kant en factchecking aan de andere kant blijven ons over.
